αOIgG-CL-PBD is an anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) specific antibody conjugated to pyrrolobenzodiazepine (PBD) with a cleavable linker. The antibody portion is a polyclonal antibody specific to both the heavy and light chains of rabbit IgGs. Pyrrolobenzodiazepine (PBD) is a cytotoxic small molecule which binds to DNA minor groove and cross-links specific sites of DNA. The cleavable linker connecting PBD to the antibody is stable in extracellular fluid, but is cleaved by cathepsin in endosome once the conjugate has entered a cell via endocytosis.
